ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Georgie!

I’m a final year Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Communications student at Deakin University. I’m interested in the space where creativity, strategy and people come together, which is what has drawn me towards a career in account management.

I’m naturally practical and organised, and I genuinely enjoy solving problems (I’ve recently become addicted to the sudoku app on the treadmill). I like a challenge, working out what needs to happen and organising ideas to get there. Account management appeals to me because it combines this problem-solving mindset with the parts of advertising that I enjoy most, working with people, understanding the client brief and helping turn creative ideas into something that works.

My experience across marketing, administration and customer service has also made me comfortable communicating with different people, managing competing priorities and taking responsibility for getting things done.

Outside of study, you’ll usually find me reading, at the gym or planning my next holiday.

OUTSIDE OF WORK

Usually found with my nose in a book.

Reading is one of my favourite ways to switch off and get lost in another world, whether that’s a fantasy, thriller or romance novel.

A love for seeing somewhere new.

I’ve always loved travelling and experiencing something new. Whether it’s the food, culture, scenery or people, I love seeing what makes each place different and coming home with new memories and a full camera roll.

STUDY ABROAD

10 weeks in Lancaster, England.

In September of 2025, I had just finished my seven week solo trip in Europe and was now embarking on my study abroad at Lancaster University in England.

Living and studying in a new country pushed me outside of my usual environment and gave me the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, experience a different university culture and become more independent.

It was an extremely challenging experience at times, but also rewarding and exciting, and remains one of the most memorable parts of my degree.
